New iPods Delayed

Apple stock analyst Shaw Wu is reporting that the next generation of iPod nanos will be delayed until late this year, perhaps December, due to parts supply issues.

Expected are capacity doubling, as well as increased screen size (which means the case size probably will increase as well), and increased battery life. A new top-of-the-line model is also expected.

Apple stock fell today on the report.

FreeiPodGuy Fights Bandwidth Theft

Every blog image at FoxSports.com's SoCalSportsFan Blog is hosted somewhere else. Copyright issues aside, this "borrowing" of bandwidth is unacceptable. When FoxSports.com / SoCalSportsFan borrowed my bandwidth, I figured some free advertising was in order.

TiVo adds iPod support, for a price

Though TiVo's website hasn't announced it yet, outlets such as Podcasting News are reporting that TiVo Desktop 2.3 supports direct export to portable devices such as the iPod. However, unlike previous versions, this one costs $24.95, reportedly because TiVo had to license the required codecs.

Those wishing to avoid the price tag can convert TiVo files to an iPod-compatible format using third party software.

With or without TiVo Desktop, Mac users are out of luck; TiVo still fails to support the TiVo-To-Go feature in TiVo Desktop for the Macintosh.
