iTunes songs may remain 99 cents after all

If true, this is good news for consumers, Apple, and the music industry (since people won't pay more than $0.99.) Fromm digg.com:

The record industry may be on the verge of waving the white flag in front of Apple boss Steve Jobs, and abandoning its demand for iTunes to charge different prices for different songs.

Apple warns retailers of fake iPods

iPodGear.com is reporting that Apple is training retailers to identify fake iPods.

This is not just ripoff items similar to the iPod; it relates to actual brazen counterfeits. I'm guessing you won't have to worry about getting a fake if you get your iPod from an authorized Apple dealer.
