smashmyipod.com is a website operated by and for those in the second category. Ben Simpson (the guy who apparently runs the place) raised $400 through his website for the express purpose of buying an iPod and then destroying it.
Personally, I think this is great. 400 iPod haters get to see an iPod smashed without spending any more than it would cost to feed a starving child for a day. Ben Simpson gets to face his Podphobia head-on without expensive therapy, and those of us who know how great iPods really are get that rush that only comes with the knowledge that we are superior to others.
Everyone wins!

obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. if you had taken the time to read about the site your bashing, it'd have taken 20 seconds to see Ben Simpson isnt the owner of the site.
Personally I think it's great. Hundreds of millions of people go to see movies every year and pay 2x more than the average donation, and spend an additional $30 on snacks. Don't talk about wasting money, especially since movies like troy costed over $100 million and this movie costed $400.
Check out sony's website for a lot of better alternatives to an iPod.
The video has almost 10,000 downloads in a 20 hour period. so much for 400 fans.
Ooh, touched a nerve, did we?
1. It doesn't matter who the site owner is.
2. "costed"?
3. Try using Sony's players with iTunes.
4. My "400" reference was to the number of people who donated, not the number of people watching the movie. (I downloaded it and I didn't donate anything.) Of course I don't know the actual number of donors (it is probably much less than 400 since the site asks for a minimum $3 donation), but it assumed $1 donations, simply because that's about what it "cost" me to feed a child for a day.
By the way, you seem to know a lot about smashmyipod.com: who owns it, the average donation size, and the number of downloads in the last 20 hours.
